WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE EUROPEAN INSTITUTE FOR CHINESE STUDIES (EURICS)
EURICS is an institute working to strengthen the European research and analysis capacities on China. It enhances cooperation and networking among research centres and think tanks --via fellowships, seminars, conferences and publications-- to help forging a common European understanding of China.
EURICS supports studies on China from a typological and diachronic perspective as well as research on current dynamics of Chinese society, economy and culture. Inspired by the model of the Institutes for Advanced Study, EURICS welcomes and hosts high-level scholars for a period ranging from two to five months. No restrictions apply regarding the candidate’s research theme and nationality.
Since January 2020, more than 20 scholars of ten different nationalities have been invited by EURICS, over 30 networked scientific activities have been organsied on a wide spectrum of themes and "Briefs and Analyses" are published on a monthly basis.
